COVID-19 Protocols

The health and safety of everyone, who walks through our doors, is our top priority!

What to Expect Upon Arrival:  I strictly follow our state’s mandates, such as: social distancing and mask requirements.  I currently require all adults and children, who can tolerate them, to wear masks when in the clinic.  I request that, whenever possible, your child is accompanied only by parent(s)/guardian(s) and no siblings.  You and your child will be asked to complete a verbal COVID-19 risk questionnaire and your temperature will be taken with an infrared thermometer at each visit. You will then be asked to wash hands or use hand sanitizer before the initiation of therapy.  If you are using our waiting room, please abide by all recommended social distancing recommendations.

If COVID-19 Symptoms are Present:  If you or your child has a temperature over 100.2, or any other symptoms of COVID-19, please call and cancel your child's appointment.  If you arrive sick, you will be asked to go home.  You must be symptom free for 24 hours before returning.  I strongly encourage you to notify your doctor's office for recommendations as to whether a COVID-19 test is recommended.  If a member of your household has a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19, has tested positive for COVID-19, or has come in contact with someone who has tested positive, please notify me and follow recommended quarantine guidelines before resuming treatment.

Employee COVID-19 Policies:  I, as your child's PT, will take my temperature and attest to COVID-19 risk assessment every day prior to seeing clients.  If symptoms are present, I am not allowed to come into the office until I have been cleared by the doctor, received a negative COVID-19 test, and/or completed the CDC recommended quarantine period.  I err on the side of caution and appreciate your flexibility.  I wear masks or CDC approved face shields at all times.  As of 3-18-2021, I have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Sanitization Procedures:  All high touch surfaces are sanitized between each session. Treatment materials (toys, mats, etc.) are sanitized prior to use with another child.  Doorknobs and other high touch surfaces in the clinic are sanitized, multiple times a day.  I have limited the use of cloth items and if they are used, they are washed on a sanitize laundry cycle.

Ongoing Monitoring:  I keep up to date on all mandates and recommendations from state and federal government, health and occupational safety departments and organizations.  Procedures may change before being updated on our website.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly.
